We are a vibrant church today that shares a genuine spirit of hospitality, care, and generosity to its members, visitors, and the local community. We offer programs and ministries in Christian spiritual development, outreach, and fellowship with other Christians.
The atmosphere we create at our church is one that is warm and welcoming. Many people share that we feel like a big family. The programs and ministries we offer are available for all ages. Some of our events are intentionally intergenerational so all can fellowship and grow together as the Body of Christ.
Our church membership is a little over 200 and our average worship attendance is around 125 each Sunday morning.
We offer two ways for a person to become a member of our church:
1. Confession of faith - a person meets the minister at the end of the service and accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. At a later time that person is baptized by immersion (a person fully descends below the water) which is a sign of a new life in Jesus Christ.
2. Transfer of Membership - if a person has already been baptized and has connections to another congregation, then we accept that person baptism and we welcome them as a Christian into our church fellowship.
We are a church that shares planning, leadership, and ministry among the members and the ministers. We believe that each person has been gifted by God to share those gifts and talents in the life of the church. Each year we go through a pledge process that allow people to connect to the life of our congregation in three distinct ways:
1. Spiritual Formation Pledge - a person decides how he or she will grow in Jesus Christ and in relationship to God and the church. This involves Bible study, worship, prayer, and evangelism.
2. Time and Talent Pledge - a person decides how he or she will participate in the many ministries, programs, and initiatives planned for the coming year. A person's involvement usually means a growing in faith, too.
3. Money Pledge - a person decides how much he or she will commit a monetary pledge to the church's plans for the coming year. A budget is put together and is underwritten by the membership and regular visitors of our church. The money pledge is a decision made between them and God. It is not public knowledge what people give to the church. We are blessed with many generous people in our church.
