Rev. Dr. Steve Chisolm


Rev. Dr. Steve ChisolmThe Reverend Doctor Steve Chisolm comes to Los Altos Christian Church from Baylor University, where he served from 1995 until 2008 as Student Minister and Director of Student Services of the Louise Herrington School of Nursing. Steve is also an active member of the Air National Guard.  Chaplain, Colonel Chisolm is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commandant, United States Air Force Chaplain Corps College, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. 

 

Steve's professional ministry began in Albuquerque in 1980 as an apprentice missionary serving Native Americans. Since then, he as served in various ministry positions, both in the local church and in community-based setting. Steve's greatest joy comes from providing pastoral care and counseling for those facing life's difficulties. "The privilege of walking with people through difficult times is one of God's wonderful graces."

 

Steve's academic background includes a Master of Strategic Studies from Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Master of Marriage and Family Counseling and Master of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University.

 

Steve and Debbie have three daughters and son-in-laws: Jenny and Ryan Simmons, Melissa and Tim Benedict, and Sarah and Ray Miller.
